This coconut shell is one of our special editions. With mother-of-pearl, a broad pattern has been placed in the shell, which has been refined in silver. The design is timeless and the color combination makes it exceptional. Like all Makapli bowls, the coconut bowl can be used as a decorative bowl, as a lantern or as a serving bowl. Coconut shells are a natural product, so each shell is slightly different in shape and size and is unique.

How to make your coconut shell:

Coconut shells are usually a waste product after the coconut has been harvested for your milk and meat. Often they are simply burned in small piles by the side of the road. This is where our partners step in, collect the supposed waste and ensure sustainable use. They grind, decorate and polish the bowls by hand. Due to the manual work and the different sizes and shapes of the eggshell and mother-of-pearl pieces, each coconut shell is unique.
